HEY EVERYBODY...
As you know, Earthquake John Tenta resides about 30 miles outside of Houston, Texas.
And now that Hurricane Rita is headed towards Texas, many of you are probably wondering if John and his family were going to evacuate, or if they were going to stay and ride it out.
Anyway...here is a short response from John on this issue:
"We were going to stay because of my treatment, but it got cancelled for Friday. So I went in today and then headed for a Dallas hotel. Had a reservation in Tulsa, but found one in Dallas. Thanks for your concerns. 'Quake"
Now...HOW MUCH MORE is John supposed to put up with?
Let's ALL just HOPE and PRAY for the SAFETY of 'Quake, his family AND ALL who must face Hurricane Rita. AMEN!

HEY EVERYBODY...
I just got off of Instant Messenger with 'Quake!
He is back home after several days away from home due to Hurricane Rita.
John and his family returned to find their home yesterday (Sunday) just as they left it...with NO DAMAGE!
John told me that the trip from outside of Houston to Dallas, which is about 170 miles, took a TOTAL of 24 driving hours! This was due to ALL of the traffic leaving the Houston area! John says the "Interstates were parking lots". He then informed me that the return trip took only 5 hours!
'Quake had another Radiation treatment today (Monday). When I asked him how they were going, he said "Treatments are going good I guess. I will know more next week after I'm done."
I didn't want to keep him online too long, because he STILL needs his rest...ESPECIALLY after this LATEST ordeal! PLUS...his wife keeps an eye on just how long he is online, AND enforces a time-limit.
In closing, we discussed that in a few days...AFTER he rests up from his long hours on the road because of Hurricane Rita, we WILL be conducting an EXCLUSIVE online Interview, where Earthquake John Tenta will discuss his career, his life, his battle with Cancer, and his recent brush with Hurricane Rita.
With that, we said our good-byes and that was it...for NOW.
I know that we are ALL happy that John and his family are SAFE and back at home...a home that suffered NO DAMAGE!

HEY EVERYBODY...
Here is an EARTHQUAKE WATCH update, in the man's own words:
"Hello everyone. I'm sorry for such a long absence. I'm doing pretty good right now. I have been going through radiation, and will receive my last treatment on Monday. I saw my doctor on Thursday, and he actually said he expected radiation to kill the small tumor in my hip area which showed up in June. He actually used the word "cure" as well so I have a lot of hope. The tumor in my lung as of the last scans is gone. Thank you for all your prayers, and keep them coming, as it is looking like God just may give me an extension after all! Well just wanted you all to know, I'm still here. 'Quake"
Tis is GREAT news from 'Quake! I know that we are ALL happy to here this!

HEY EVERYBODY...
Here is the LATEST on Earthquake John Tenta. And it is NOT very good news.
Read this update from 'Quake himself, as he posted on WrestleCrap.com:
"Well, I'm FINALLY back here online. No, the news I received last Monday was not very good. The tumor in my hip did not react to the radiation I went through, in fact may have even grown a little. The tumor that I had been battling, and got it shrunken down to a tiny dot, apparently went home during the break in chemo, and brought back a few of his big brothers. I have about four larger tumors spread now, through both lungs, with a few smaller "areas of concern", as well. It was a real bummer of a day for me, and my wife, as we had been hoping for the best. I was dreaming of returning to work, having a great Christmas, but that gets pushed back for awhile. My options in treatment are slowly changing as well. My choices were chemo, experimental treatments, or NOTHING! Of course I chose more chemo, and already went through a round last week. I'm not ready to give up yet. The doc said my chances of it reacting to chemo are 10-20%. That's the bad news. The good news is I am back online and can post again, but unfortunately may not post quite as often. Chemo can be brutal and I expect some not so great days ahead. I've read all your well wishes on the other threads, and of course continue to thank you for all your love, and support. The time I spend online is treasured by me, it takes me away from my problems. Thanks for being here for me. Love to all, 'Quake"
PLEASE join me in extending your CONTINUED BEST WISHES, THOUGHTS and PRAYERS to Earthquake John Tenta and his Family. THANKS!

SORRY EVERYBODY...
John has stopped communicating with me. Therefore, unfortunately...I will be discontinuing MY EARTHQUAKE WATCH reports...unless I hear from him in the future.
Hopefully, 'Quake will post his own reports, updating us all on his condition.

This is a re-post from the thread started by Ric Micheals earlier today:
"I HATE my computer!
I've been trying to get online almost all day, but this damn machine wouldn't let me on.
Anyway...I've lost a TRUE friend. When I first heard this TERRIBLE news this morning, I was DEVASTATED!
I knew John from our days together in the WWF. I was in Wheeling, W.V. the night that John debuted in WWF, during the Dino Bravo-Ultimate Warrior "push-up contest", when he was "picked" out of the crowd.
Then there was the "killing of Damien" segment on WWF Superstars, taped in Las Vegas, the night after WrestleMania VII. I was the one who gimmicked the "snake bag" with the "contents". John and I had a lot of laughs on THAT angle!
I know I'm rambling here...BUT, I'm grieving the lose of a friend, so I hope you'll bear with me for a moment!
Anyway...I spoke with John's wife just a few days ago. I posted about it in another thread.
But...I DIDN'T post that day the fact that Mrs. Tenta had told me that while he WAS home, he WAS under the care of HOSPICE. I immediately knew that John was NOT going to get better and that the end was near.
I DREADED going online EVERY day since then...KNOWING that THIS day was coming SOON.
GOD BLESS John Tenta's SOUL, and may the Lord Above watch out over his family, his friends AND his fans, who are ALL grieving along with me TODAY!"
Now, I KNOW that we WILL be having a SPECIAL 10-BELL Salute on next Saturday's UWA event at the Orangevale Grange Hall. I SINCERELY hope that you will say a silent prayer that night for my friend, Earthquake John Tenta! THANK YOU!

I just wanted to add something more...even though I know that I posted earlier, but I've thought more about my friend, John Tenta. I remember what somebody told me after I lost my Mother back in 1999. He told me that DEATH is HARDEST for for those left behind. I found that TRUE, knowing that my Mom's pain was GONE and that SHE was NOW in a better place...doing what she loved to do and COULD do BEFORE her illness!
This is NOW TRUE for John! He can once again, do EVERYTHING he did before...PAIN-FREE and HAPPY!
The pain is NOW with his family, his friends (ME included) and his fans (ME included). WE are the ones suffering the loss of John. He is WITHOUT pain now!
And I believe that John wants us to HEAL and to go on with our lives! He's NOW smiling down upon us, KNOWING that, in time, we WILL heal and be able to deal without him there for us!
I LOVE YOU, BROTHER and I MISS YOU!
