So, who is interested?
If I was more sports oriented, I might go for it. But alas, computers, networks and audio are my callings, not being thrown around like a 5'6" rag-doll.
Think about this: Wrestling is more than just shouting the loud funny words and jumping around and beating on people. Sure, that's fun too, but it's illegal most other places. Wrestling, like martial arts, requires a lot of the same stuff that martial arts requires. Wrestling requires commitment, focus, dedication and discipline. It is good physical training and will help keep you in good shape. Benefits include things such as being able to move much further than just local events. The truly dedicated and hard working with that hunger for more might even find themselves looking at the big show and being under the lights with thousands upon thousands of screaming fans applauding or booing. Note: applauding or booing might be good or bad, depending on what kind of character you are.
Sign up now. Learn! Get famous. Meet chicks.

UWA is one of the more fun events I do. That and the Lobo shows. Those rock.
Mabye I should incite more drunken riots at Vietnamese weddings. I'm thinking of hiring Rob Wilds, Chris Ward and Warpath for security. I should learn how to be body-slammed for example purposes: See, security did this to ME and these are MY guys. Imagine what they would do to YOU!!
And then if they liked the demonstration, give them a UWA business card and have them sign up for classes!

lol
right now Rob a good deal would be FREE. See her school loan requires a lot of money now, and so do other bills.
Though both of us would love it, neither of us see it posible to come up with the money to pay you. We would feel bad if we started, then ran out of money too. So in the end, we are not doing it, for now.
Though my friend at Cal Family Fit is saying that there may be a "pro wrestling class" offered there soon through some other federation. They are working out details to that now. It will be free with CFF membership (or maybe a bit more) so all in all it will be like $45 a month per person. Though I know Alicia & I when we were members of CFF the 2 of us only had to pay $75 a month for membership.

Ah, student loans. Yes, I'm now paying off my wife's loans. UOP wasn't cheap, that's for darn sure!! Plus, here's the kicker, and I'm sure other schools do it to: Once you graduate, you're on their "alumni beg list" where they keep hitting you up for money now and then. I talked to the Dean of Business, and apparently he's a marketing droid. Clueless. But, as they say, those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. He's in that "those who can't" category, obviously.
With all my injuries, I don't want to risk more injury Bad knees from soccer, hell, bad back from soccer too! Went up for a header during a training camp against another guy. I twisted to meet the ball. We both missed it(ball too high) but it's how I landed and how the other guy landed on me. If he didn't land funny and twist his ankle, I might have not been injured as much, but I still was injured. Thank goodness it was the last day of the camp too!
Hopefully Olympics interested some people in wrestling. I like watching REAL wrestling as well, but I got to admit, Greco-Roman wrestling looks gay, but requires a lot more skill and brain power. What's nice is that by learning freestyle, it is complimentary to pro wrestling. Despite Kurt Angle being a total turd of a character and his annoying dependence on his ankle-lock submisison hold these days, when he first started out he was more exciting to watch.
Definately, bring back the basics as skills into pro wrestling is going to make for more visually entertaining technical matches provided they keep the action moving. BUT not all the time, otherwise people will get bored fast.
I think the UWA schools providing one of the more well-rounded programs available period. Shoot wrestling to work on fundamental classic wrestling skills, gymnastics to help with agility and overall movement and flexibility, pro wrestling which of course is the whole focus, and weight training and conditioning. Seems the other schools just go right to the pro wrestling aspect. UWA seems to want to build their wrestlers properly from the ground up. You absolutely can't go wrong that way.
My only injury last weekend was moving my big 16-spacer up the trailer. I slightly pulled a calf muscle. Fortunately we all stopped right here, I walked around the trailer and car twice to work it out and then continued. Hasn't bothered me since then!

Well, that's all well and good. Let's hope his a good wrestler who has been properly trained and evaluated.
A lot of guys can do good in high school and college but just can not make the transition to professional. Personally, this surprises me since one should naturally be progressing and improving as that continue their wrestling career, or any other sport for that matter.
So, don't let his presence stop you from going to training. Who knows, you might go up against Vega and with your superior UWA training might be able to take on this guy and not only put on a good show, but take him a well! Besides, even if Vega does get signed on, variety is a good thing. Don't let some other wrestler stand between you and your objectives of becoming a pro wrestler!

18? Oh good. He's still nice and young. Hopefully he's steered clear of that backyarder garbage and doesn't have any BAD skills to unlearn. If he is a good freestyle wrestler, then he's already got a good foundation. Heck, even if he is just so-so but has had a good coach and some adequate skills, he's still got a good base.
Any reasons why he's not going to college?
I was watching RAW tonight. Between constant distractions and other crap, the WWE stuff is starting to bore. Yes, you've got some good wrestlers, but it's getting more and more apparent that a lot are just pro-wrestlers, never did anything before that, or else are just good entertainers. I think a total package is required: good real wrestling foundation, a good gynmastics background or knowledge, and excellent pro wrestling training. Couple that with acting skills and character development and you've got the ultimate pro wrestler.
