More technology checking.
How many are using a network in their home? Is it wired, wireless or both?
Mine is both. I'm using wireless in many ways, although I'm largely wired. My standard is Cat5, so I'm mostly running switches as well, 100Full whenever supported. I have my two laptops usually wired, but often wireless these days. I have a bridge in the garage to go to my WAP(Wireless access point) to avoid running wires to some large devices.
Also, if you're running DSL or cable, you best put a router in front of that connection or you're gonna get the smackdown!
You can direct technology questions to me if you want. I'm adding a new domain to my web server this weekend, and then I'm going to put a more complex web board like this one on that server on one of my test domains as well. I'm not sure if I want to do hosting services yet, but maybe. I'm seeing what the UWA is doing, and then seeing about doing it self-contained. Part of my motivation is to offer a more well-rounded service to provide a more professional appearance. I don't know, maybe the UWA might want to host their stuff on my server. We'll see.
I've got VPN projects to keep me busy in the meantime when I'm not doing audio stuff.
