Just trying to add threads to keep things moving around here.
I've got to get a laptop ready for Sunday(from nothing) and test out my entire sound system after a total re-wiring. After this event, I'm going to re-do the wiring again, just not happy with some things, mainly cable girth to the consoles. Not enough time right now to yank it and re-do it unless I take loads of stuff into the house from the garage.
Anyhow, what to people have as pets? I don't want to get into a "dogs vs cats" debate, just more of a general idea.
I like dogs. I have nothing against cats, I'm just a dog person. I have two pugs. Total bundles of energy. They play like mad all day long, take a nap and start again. It looks like pug-dog wrestling too. One is rather high-strung, the other is super mellow. They both hate being alone though and definately want their people around as much as possible.
So, what do other people have? Dogs? Cats? Fish? Birds? Rodents(rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, mice, rats...), Reptiles(snakes, lizards, turtles, whatever) or exotics?
Closest I have to anything exotic is this big fat black spider that has 3 white dots on the top side of its abdomen, and a few garter snakes in the neighborhood that I've seen once or twice. I scooped 3 drowned mice out of my pool last year, so those don't count. My in-laws have koi fish that have been attacked by a great blue heron a couple of times.
Whatever you do, don't share "rooster ownership" stories. I have a person somewhere in my neighborhood with one of those and that bird is crowing at all hours day and night. Chicken must DIE!!!! Animal control can't find it and I can't pinpoint it.
OK, time to go back to work. I am picking up my monitoring system today as well as all my other chores.
