Working the Clint Black concert on Saturday at Cache Creek. Hopefully I will have some pictures this time. The Jewel show I had no chances to take photos. This time I should. Check out pictures of events at: www.giangtien.com/Thanks!! Report will follow in a few days. I have Clint Black from 8AM to 2AM, then a meeting at 2:30PM on Sunday and all day Monday booked for customer issues of one particular customer. Expect updates mid-week. In the meantime, I'm looking for bands, musicians and crew for my audio company. Must be reliable and dependable, and if you are coming because of this ad, then you best be a UWA fan or we'll have to choke-slam ya!!

Update on my status:
Well, after working since 8AM, here it is 10:15PM, I'm still working. A computer that was supposed to have been dropped off at 10:30AM is dropped off at 9:30. Oh, my car OUTSIDE is washed, but not the inside, AND it's too late to get to Costco to get gas, so now I have to wake up earlier.
Don't ask about other stuff. I'm catching hell from 6 directions right now, with a customer in a crisis mode that I've been working with ALL DAY LONG.
Computer is heavily hosed. Gee, I could have gotten this fixed. HELLO!! RUN ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE!! Crudware in mountains, spyware like you wouldn't believe.
Well, I've got 45 minutes to fix this crap before going to bed and starting my day at 6AM and getting gas and picking up a friend to work the concert.
Expect one zoned-out techno-geek in the coming days. I'll try to get pictures for ya to gawk at.
I'm mad as hell right now. Excuse my venting.

Show went well. Can't say I'm a fan of Clint Black. Well, let me be honest, I hate country music.
Starting from the top. Due to crap at the homefront, I got stuck being unable to wash my car. Work just became priority, so family helped, but family refused to wash inside of car, and time taken away from me prevented me from being able to do it. A computer I needed to work on was 11 hours late, yet it has been clearly shown to me that this is purely my fault(how? person said "I'll bring it right over" at 10:30 am, brought it after 9:30 PM, same person who was told I needed my car back before 9PM, brought the car back at 9:30)
Anyhow, late start to pick up Will Saturday morning. Got to event on time for me. even 5 minute early. Saw last of stage getting set up, raising of lights for trusses, raising of speaker line arrays, and basically entire set set-up of stage. Saw part of sound check, saw/heard main system being set-up(gee, I'm doing all the same stuff on my system, go figure...).
Blah, blah blah. Show starts 15 minutes late to try to get more people into the event. No problem. Clint goes 2 songs over set-list to ensure a happy crowd, which is typical for him, as is for most country acts anyways. Not complaining, this is generally a good thing, less stuck up than many of todays disposable pop acts and a better performer. Show was done extremely well. Good audience interaction, event was nearly packed. Great crew, nice people, hard workers. Nothing short of excellent.
I'm still zoned out. I have a meeting later today. Yeah, it's Sunday, got a problem with that? Hey, working in the entertainment industry isa 24X7 job. Then again, so is my data comm job, because I have customers paying for 24X7 service. At any rate, I see it being a bit before I get pictures up. No pictures of performers, but I have some of MOST of the set design and stage equipment, more than ample proof of my being there.

Ok, I got the pictures posted. I liked them. I'm learning about photography stuff whether I like it or not. Good pictures for the geeks out there into gear. No show pictures. Performer's contract stated no cameras during sound check AND show. During the show makes sense, but sound check? At any rate, Clint Black was a nice guy, his band was cool and his crew very good. I hate country music, but this team puts out the exact image that anyone who takes tremendous pride in their work should. So, check it out man!! www.giangtien.com/Logical sounding links will get you stuff to fill your eyeballs with. After the next UWA show, I'm hoping to take a buttload of pictures and put all the good ones up on the site.
