OK, I'm getting annoyed about some things. Fortunately none of it is UWA stuff. Hell, I need those UWA distractions to keep me from going off the deep end these days, so mucho thanks Rob!!
OK, I use chat clients. Personally speaking, I like AIM. ICQ went downhill in my opinion, especially when the Russian porno spammers just started flooding it. I retaliated, I dedicated some low-end machines to send endless amounts of responses back to those, but that's another story. Yahoo, while good, just for some reason doesn't sit well with me. Microsoft Messenger, well, just seems a tad not mature.
As far as order I started out with: ICQ, then Yahoo, then AIM, then MS Messenger.
Other issues: Most of my family uses AIM. I want to get a portable device, say, a T-Mobile Side-kick, so I can have an on-the-go QWERTY keyboard chat client that can also replace my 2-way pager.
Let's get obscure now. My latest Cingular phone uses AIM, but alas, I can not use it, the service is not available in my area. But that's not my issue. My issue is this: OK, SBC, of which gobbled up PacBell, used to have PacBell Wireless. Uh-oh, late deregulation made then sell off that division, when then became Cingular, which in turn only became something usefull because of SBC's nationwide network. OK, but as of late, with Yahoo being snarfed up my SBC as well(notice the SBC Yahoo stuff in Cingular stores...), why the hell did they choose to go with AIM instead of YIM? What idiocy.
Enough ranting.
