Yeah, like any of you care.
A little history. I need a bigger house. New baby means "I need more space". So, I contact and start working with a realtor. Good? No, not for him, not for us. Bad realtor? No, issues are all here at home: no time to do anything like clean. So, anyhow, 5 MONTHS later, the house is ready. It was a major butt-pain to get to that point. But, it was worth it. Sign paperwork with him, open house on a Saturday, accept an offer with a counter(buyer already agreed, just need formalization) and the house is sold 4 days later. Cool.
This weekend didn't go so well. It didn't go bad, just didn't end the way I wanted it to. Had 6 houses lined up to see. 1 we could not get into: idiots used the wrong key in the lockbox. OK, so that leaves 5. One is in a bad area. By bad, I don't mean "gangs and other bad elements", but rather bad as in "not in the area we want to be in". Down to 4. 2 had detached garages, so that's a negative to me, plus were too close to main roads, but one was nice, just right by I5. That leaves 2. One had a crappy layout and just wasn't cutting it for me. That leaves one, which we made an offer on, but our offer was not accepted.
Damn. Back to Square 1 on the house hunt. We may need to expand out search parameters.
