And now, on to the national news:
I am REALLY excited that Hulk Hogan will FINALLY be inducted into the WWE Hal of Fame the night before WrestleMania 21, at the HOF Induction Ceremonies which will be held at the Universal Amphitheatre in Hollywood, CA.!
Hulk will be joining the other inductees named so far: The Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff, Cowboy Bob Orton, The Mouth of the South Jimmy Hart, and Rowdy Roddy Piper.
Rowdy Roddy Piper will also be hosting a LIVE Piper's Pit at WrestleMania, with his SPECIAL Guest, none other than...the one and only Stone Cold Steve Austin! Now, with a LIVE and OPEN mic, THIS will surely be a Piper's Pit that will be MEMORABLE!
Speaking of WrestleMania 21, following are the so far, CONFIRMED matches for WWE's Premier Pay-Per-View of the year:
World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H -vs- Batista
WWE Championship
JBL -vs- John Cena
Shawn Michaels -vs- Kurt Angle
6-Way Money in the Bank Ladder Match (to win, the victor climbs the ladder and grabs the briefcase with a World's Title Match contract inside)
Chris Jericho -vs- Chris Benoit -vs- Edge -vs- Sheldon Benjamin -vs- Christian -vs- Kane
WWE Women's Championship
Trish Stratus -vs- the $250,000 RAW Diva Winner, Christy Hemme
Randy Orton -vs- The Undertaker
PLUS even more GREAT matches remain to be announced, making this an even MORE memorable event! I CAN'T WAIT!
Next up, this comes from Tim Brown w/partial credit: PWTorch:
According to some reports, Randy Orton upset a number of fans seeking autographs at the 2/25 MSG Raw show. He reportedly told them to “get lost”, and actually cursed at one. He was said to have come off as a total jerk, which unfortunately is something that’s been previously reported on numerous occasions. Most notably, during the coverage of the Amy Weber situation.
His behavior has been brought up to management before, and several veterans in WWE are unhappy with his conduct.
With all of the bad news surrounding Orton as of late, this may just be a case of some angry fans over-exaggerating the simple situation of not being able to get an autograph. So, the details on this should be taken with a grain of salt for now.

:
The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase is apparently on a trial basis with WWE as a road agent. Ricky Steamboat was brought in several months ago on a tiral basis and wound up signing full-time.
Also from Ryan Clark comes the following information:
This past week Matt Hardy confirmed on his personal website's messageboard that he has in fact broken up with Amy Dumas (Lita) and that reports are true that Lita has been cheating on him. What wasn't posted on Matt's site is that the person Lita was cheating on him with is actually a close friend of Matt's and a fellow WWE superstar. That superstar is EDGE. We have confirmation that Edge, who himself was recently married, has been having an affair on the road with Lita and that it was Edge's wife that contacted Matt Hardy directly about the situation.
Insider sources tell us that WWE management is extremely angry at Edge over what they consider the height of improper conduct among their employees. Edge and Matt Hardy have been close friends for several years, as both The Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian broke into the company together and made eachothers' careers during their series of high-risk stipulation matches (inclding the innovative TLC matches) over the WWE Tag Team Championships. There is a feeling backstage that Edge's behavior with Lita is a politically crippling move that has the potential to seriously threaten his career.
Matt Hardy is currently on the sidelines with an injury but will be returning to the road on March 19th. With both Matt and Edge currently on the RAW roster, things should get pretty interesting backstage.
The Rock has agreed to play the lead role in the “Gridiron Gang” movie, a film Sony is behind.
Billy Kidman is currently out of action with a broken orbital bone.
Dean Malenko wants to come out of retirement to wrestle Eddy Guerrero at the 6/12 ECW PPV.
Both the Iron Sheik and Sheik Adnan El-Kaissie have inquired about managing Muhammad Hassan.
WWE is said to be wanting to debut MNM (Johnny Nitro, Joey Matthews and Melina Perez) as a group, thus the reason Perez has already been taken off television.
Former TNA star Johnny Swinger has been given a 3/14 starting date on the “Raw” roster.
Lawrence Taylor was contacted several months ago by the WWE about being inducted into the celebrity wing of the Hall of Fame but turned the offer down.
Scott Hall’s kidneys are said to be in bad shape. Hall was told by doctors that his lifestyle would be life threatening if he continued down the same path. After getting the riot act by doctors, Hall went out on another binge. Needless to say, friends are quite concerned.
Kevin Nash is claiming that he was offered a WWE contract to be Triple H's bodyguard. Nash turned it down because he doesn't want to work a full-time WWE schedule.
Sean Waltman is extremely mad with TNA management for not being used during the last two Impact tapings.
From Bill Apter and 1wrestling.com 3/4/2005: Yesterday (Thursday) a local television crew was at one of the Hulk Hogan family homes in Florida to do a news segment on the animal situation regarding the dispute with the Town of Belleair regarding them being forced to get rid of some of their beloved pets including Lilly the Rooster. The city expects them to comply with a code that is being interpreted by the city differently from the understanding of the Hogan family and their attorneys.
Linda Hogan took the reporter and cameraman outside to show them their property and to the pen to see Lilly. On the way back to the house, the cameraman stumbled and fell into the pool - camera included -- and the man could not swim! Within moments, Linda jumped into the pool to save him! He started fighting her in the water and kept sinking lower. She did pull the man up, and got them to the surface, but then, he started pulling her back down in obvious panic!
Two additional cameramen that were at the house doing a documentary on the Hogan family had to drop their equipment and jump in the pool to pull the guy away from her so that he didn't drown them both!
Everyone survived but the video tape did not!
Well, that does it for another edition of WrestleBeat. I'll be back next time with more news and notes from the Wonderful World of Professional Wrestling.
So, until next time, KEEP BOTH FEET ON THE MAT AND YOUR PUNCHES ABOVE THE BELT! Later, Michael.
