That's one thing I liked about the whole UWA atmosphere, it was warm and friendly.
You guys definately have a class act thing going. I'm getting tired of the endless and pointless T'n'A on the WWE and the almost non-stop "cheating".
It's nice to see a wrestling event where it's about the wrestling again.

LMAO! Warm and friendly my @$$! You haven't been around them long enough my friend. Don't worry. You'll see the true light soon enough. That is of course if there is ever another UWA show. I mean come on. It's nearly July and still no word as to the future of UWA.
Maybe it's finally gotten to the old man huh? I mean several cancelled shows and then a bad show and now nothing? Hope that's not the end of it all.

Trust me, Indylover, when you've been in the entertainment business as long as I have(gee, what, since I was 14, now I'm 32), you get the hang of things real quick. I'm sure it will only get more enjoyable as I get to know them better. Just as long as they don't body slam me or something, I could get hurt since I don't know how to take a fall. Heck, even one of them passed along some advice to me, which not only did I agree, but the way it was presented was very nice as well. Of course, I did the best I could and next time I will work harder.
Nothing better than having to drag your wasted band out of who knows what situation to avoid them getting in trouble, and you don't ask questions like "is this YOUR vomit or someone elses?", you just get them covered and to a safe location. I love being on the technical part. Sure, stage is fun, but I'm a behind the scenes guy.
The show itself was more geared towards family-safe entertainment. I got bored of the constant WWE "can't-win-a-match-unless-a-steel-chair-is-involved" garbage from 2 years ago. Got bored of the T'n'A parades of last season on the WWE.
I'll say this: when I was asked to be involved at the last show, I knew that even though it wasn't a big deal show, I busted my hump for the job, bringing way more than was asked in order to be as prepared as possible, and I sure hope I made a good impression. I can guarantee that I'll make the same effort each and every single time, but with ALL my gear going forward, not just a quickie system to ensure all bases covered.
Depending on other factors and how my business is doing, I might consider some financial backing of the UWA. I'm also willing to see what resources the UWA might require to help them get events. But, I've been so busy with my day job that I haven't even had time to call to discuss stuff.
I have family and friends and neighbors who would want to come to see UWA shows, and I've got some other folks interested in it as well. I'm fanning interests all over the place and so far getting what appear to be positive results.
I'll try to call tomorrow. Besides, the web board needs to be properly directed to so more visitos can hang out.

Got bored of the T'n'A parades of last season on the WWE. If that's the case you came to the wrong company.I'll say this: when I was asked to be involved at the last show, I knew that even though it wasn't a big deal show, I busted my hump for the job, bringing way more than was asked in order to be as prepared as possible, and I sure hope I made a good impression. I can guarantee that I'll make the same effort each and every single time, but with ALL my gear going forward, not just a quickie system to ensure all bases covered. No one said YOU didn't have a lot going for you. But unless you want to totally get taken advantage of and taken for granted that you will devote all you free time and finances to UWA you better get that cleared up real quick. Otherwise you'll be busintin' your hump for free for the duration. I have first hand knowlege of this. I watched him totally screw a few of my friends and left them holding the bag to pay back the people he owed not to mention totally enveloping their time and money.Depending on other factors and how my business is doing, I might consider some financial backing of the UWA. I'm also willing to see what resources the UWA might require to help them get events. But, I've been so busy with my day job that I haven't even had time to call to discuss stuff. There is actually a club for financial backers of UWA who just wanted to help out and then kept having their pockets picked by Rob Wilds and his crew. Be sure you work that all out before you fall into that trap too. I mean just how does everyone think an unemployed ex-wrestler finances these shows?I have family and friends and neighbors who would want to come to see UWA shows, and I've got some other folks interested in it as well. I'm fanning interests all over the place and so far getting what appear to be positive results. Boy I've heard this story time and time again with UWA. People working their butts off to help this guy out and getting nothing for it not even a thank you. Good luck to ya. But if you ever want to work with a real company that appreciates it's crew you should try SPW or one of the bay area companies.I'll try to call tomorrow. Besides, the web board needs to be properly directed to so more visitos can hang out. Yet again more free work that Wilds gets from marks for a business he doesn't even own

Ok Willy, Give it up. You were fired from UWA due to the never ending drama you bring with you. You have no idea what goes into UWA so let it go. Keep on with your tv gig, it seems to be doing something for ya, as for us. Just be gone.

In regards to IndyLover:
First impressions go for a lot with me, but I do look at the long term as well.
I was called in a not favorable situation by Rob Wilds. After I agreed and his side of things agreed, it was a go. But, my motto is ALWAYS 100%, nothing less. I was slightly annoyed that I was not able to bring all my PA for the event, but realized it was best to respect who was requesting services and not impose too much. The amount in question is not up for discussion, that is a private matter between myself and the UWA.
It doesn't matter to me if I am doing the show for free or for wheelbarrows full of money, always give my best. Period.
Rob Wilds and the UWA left a good first impression, I had a great time, and for that, I will stand behind the UWA until things lead me to another conclusion, and I'll need to come to that on my own from first-hand experience. I still go over in my mind mistakes I made and areas I can improve upon.
It's nice to walk into a building and immediately get a warm and friendly greeting from what are essentially total strangers to me. I would mention some of them by name, but I won't because I can't remember them all, but all I can say is not ONE SINGLE person I had even the tiniest of issues with.
Now, onto the technical aspects of things: When quoting and responding, at least you didn't top-post. BUT: you need to END my line and start a new one for your replies. Manners and net-ettiquette.
Rob: You made a good impression with me, I had a good time and your event, and my services are available to you. Expect a phone call from me tomorrow.

...uh huh... Rob you wish Blackwood was the only person that has it out for you. But you and I both know that there are LOTS of people out there you have screwed that would love more than anything to see you hang yourself with all the rope you've been getting. So don't think for a minute that you running a successful promotion is going to be easy. There are plenty out there just like me who will do whatever it takes to kick the knees out from under you every chance we get.

Seems like you're make a whole lot of extra effort to be negative and to interfere. I don't know your story, your deal, or whatever, nor do I care to know. It's none of my concern.
Look, there's lots of independent organizations, and in some cases I use the term "organization" loosely. It seems that while each can operate on its own, they should all make a concerted effort to help each other at the same time. It's mutually beneficial.
It's time to move on. Your anger is just a continued product of you wasting your time on something that it's too late for you to do anything about. You can either direct this energy to a new project that moves in a positive direction, or you can continue to waste time and energy on a deliberate effort that will ultimately not get you anywhere. However, it's your time, effort and energy, so I can only advise, not demand.
Of course, this is also a moderated board. The moderators are able to remove any message they deem fit. It's not censorship either, so please don't make me give you a lecture on how "freedom of speech" actually works.
So, give it up, grow up, suck it in and move on.

Well said.
Indylover, you clearly are not a "Lover" your a "Hater" We bring in the big names. Do you think if they were screwed they would ever come back for more than one show? As far as me "screwing" anyone. BUZZ, Thats all our time, but thanks for playing. As a parting gift we would like to laugh at your ignorance and bid you a fond farewell. Not a single person, NOT A ONE will ever come and say Rob Wilds and UWA burned me. Now with types like HWA, that may be the case. But I have never ever used any shady business practices. Everything I have and do is above the line and legal. Studio42 was paid in full at the last event. So take the Rope you refered to and swing back to whatever message boards you usually haunt and get off our back. Better yet, Leave a name..If not your just another internet Mercenary and your words fall on deaf ears.

Listen This is Will Blackwood, Please disregard anything I say in my post.
I left UWA because I didn't agree you working with my soon to be X wife! I'm pretty insecure and I don't like that you have done more than I could. It makes me look bad.
Oh one reply to your comment
Rob Wilds: you clearly are not a "Lover" your a "Hater" We bring in the big names. Do you think if they were screwed they would ever come back for more than one show?
Ya you bring in the names big daddy! But it really sucks when you dont even get enough fans in the building to even pay for them... KEVIN KNASH probably wasn't happy entertaining a crowd that wouldn't even pack a Subway and I don't mean the kind underground. (dont listen to me, Im just jealous)
Lick my fat in Furries Punk Ass pregnant dog! (shows my class level huh?)

Unless of course its agains former Hardcore Champ Mike Porter..lol..
